quotes from campers, families, or volunteers
In the summer of 2021, I returned home from college and unexpectedly found myself attending the first summer camp at The Father’s Refuge. I had no idea how deeply God would move in my life. What I brought in—struggles, questions, and burdens—was met with the powerful presence of Jesus. That encounter changed everything.
Though challenges continued, the Holy Spirit has led me into deeper truth and growth since then. My passion to serve at The Father’s Refuge keeps growing because I’ve seen firsthand what God can do here. It’s not just a camp—it’s a place of welcome, transformation, and destiny. I know He’s only just begun the work He plans to do on this ground and in all of us.
In November 2021, I was overwhelmed by fear and searching for purpose. God made it clear: to find myself, I had to first find Him. I dove into His Word, studying relentlessly, and He began revealing Himself in powerful, personal ways.
Worship at The Father’s Refuge became a turning point. It was here that God first called me to lead worship, and each time I’ve played or sung, I’ve grown—spiritually, emotionally, and vocally. Whether before one person or many, His presence met me. This place has become sacred ground in my journey, where private encounters with God overflowed into public calling. I’m forever grateful for the atmosphere of growth and encounter at The Father’s Refuge.
Every photo tells a story—of families restored, youth awakened, and hearts forever changed by the presence of God at The Father’s Refuge.
